Seymchan is a rare pallasite meteorite that was first found in the dry bed of the Hekandue River in Magadanskaya Oblast, far Eastern Siberia in 1967.

The primary mass was discovered in June 1967 by geologist F.A. Mednikov and the second was recovered in October of the same year by I.H. Markov. In 2004, another piece was found, but this discovery brought to light the contents of olivine crystals on some specimens which finally categorized it as a pallasitic structure.

This is a very unusual meteorite--a portion being only iron; the rest is a pallasite with fine peridot "windows."

Comes with case.

Size of Specimen: .68 x .13 x .38 inches
